How to introduce a new idea

When introducing a new idea to people, remember, most people tend to stay loyal to their initial point of view. Moving to a new way of thinking takes some effort.

A single piece of paper, no matter how well written, may not be sufficient to sway an entrenched mind. Recognise that moving to a new way of thinking is rarely immediate – even when presented with compelling information.

Persuasion sometimes takes time and multiple presentations and encounters with new information in various forms.

So, when you write, aim to keep the lines of communication open so  your audience can understand and assimilate your message over time.
